Benefits of coconut oil

Coconut oil is magical and however you use it you will surely have the benefit from it. In my kitchen this oil is irreplaceable and I use both variants – virgin and neutral. Today I will share with you all the different ways I use this oil and why it is so useful.

Every morning I take a tablespoon of coconut oil (here I use the virgin oil that smells like coconut) and shake the liquid in my mouth for about twenty minutes. This simple morning ritual contributes a lot to your health, in that way the body releases many harmful substances. I know that many of you think that twenty minutes is too much and that they don’t have time or nerves for that, but the time will pass quickly if you are doing something else simultaneously. I for example clean my apartment, read a book or newspaper, write a new post, doing some stretching exercises and at the same time shaking my coconut oil for twenty minutes. 🙂

Adding a teaspoon of coconut oil in my shampoo, makes my dry hair very grateful. The ends of my hair are often very dry and the windy weather greatly affects the quality of my hair. Fortunately, since I use coconut oil my hair looks healthier and brighter despite the cold Scandinavian weather. 🙂

Coconut oil with honey is one of my favorite natural face masks. All you need for this mask is a spoon of coconut oil and two spoons of honey. Mix the ingredients and apply on clean face. This mask is held on the face for about twenty minutes. The mask keeps the skin moist and hydrated and I regularly use it especially during the colder periods of the year.
